Since the publication of the article, there have been substantial changes to the overall solution. Unfortunately, there isn't always enough space in a magazine article to cover all the issues, so DBMethods is a continuation of the original work that addresses even the last few points that were left open in the article. It's a more thorough and complete implementation.
MSJ back issues are available online.[22] MSDN Magazine was available as a print magazine in the United States, and online in 11 languages. The last issue of the magazine was released in November 2019.[23]

Code A has no explicit licensing statement in it. You contend that code is available under the MS-LPL on the authority of this answer, but I cannot find a similar licensing statement anywhere on the current "magazine back issues" website. There is a pointer to MS's generic terms of use, but those don't give you anything useful ("The Software is made available for download solely for use by end users according to the License Agreement"). That puts us back to the usual default position for code-without-licence found on the internet, ie, you have no right to use it at all. 2ff7e9595c
